The Hållbar Interiör Criteria Document sets out the requirements that must be met for an organisation to have its premises HI-labelled. The document describes what is assessed, the supporting information the organisation must provide and how the criteria are structured.
The criteria cover the organisation’s governance and planning, energy and technical systems, fixed interiors and furnishings. Together, the criteria provide a framework for developing and managing premises with a focus on reducing environmental and climate impact, improving resource efficiency and supporting long-term use.
The Criteria Document forms the normative basis for the HI label. The review and verification process is governed by a separate verification programme.
