Hint is a digital tool for organisations and consultants working with Hållbar Interiör. The tool brings together information, documentation and climate data for premises that are being assessed or submitted for the HI label.

Hint allows users to register premises and furnishings, document how the criteria are met and compile supporting information for verification. Information is stored in one place and can be shared with other participants involved in the process.

Hint is an optional tool. Organisations can work with the HI label using other systems, provided that the supporting information is relevant, traceable and suitable for verification.

How Hint works

1. Register the organisation and premises

The process begins by registering the organisation and the premises to be included. Basic information about the scope, use and allocation of responsibilities for the premises is collected in the tool.

2. Carry out inventories and collect information

Furnishings can be registered directly or imported from existing inventory lists. The information can be supplemented with details such as quantity, location, age, condition, method of acquisition and climate data.

Information about the use of the premises, fixed interiors, energy, organisational policies and other supporting documentation can also be collected and managed in Hint.

3. Work with the criteria

Hint provides a structured framework for working with the Hållbar Interiör criteria. Users can document the current situation, register relevant information and collect the supporting documentation needed to demonstrate how the criteria are met.

The work can cover both the organisation’s governance and the physical content of the premises, from policies and premises analyses to fixed interiors and furnishings.

4. Manage climate data and calculations

Climate data can be linked to furnishings and other relevant elements of the premises in Hint. The tool can be used to compile climate impact data and create supporting information for the climate calculations required for the HI label.

Hint includes approved generic climate data for furnishings that can be used when product-specific climate data is unavailable. Product-specific information can be registered when available.

5. Collaborate and compile supporting information

Information can be shared with other participants involved in the process. This allows premises managers, sustainability managers, consultants, designers and qualified HI Coaches to work with the same information.

Once the documentation is complete, relevant supporting information can be compiled and transferred to the verification body for independent verification.
